First Investment Bank gets license from BoA

TIRANA, Dec.10- The First Investment Bank (FIB) branch of Tirana, headquartered in Sofia, received the approval of the BoA to evolve into a bank offering all financial services. Beginning immediately, a branch of the Bulgarian Bank will operate as FIB Albania. Bank sources say that this decision will help the bank to expand its presence, as well as the range of services that it offers in Albania, becoming a dynamic player in the banking sector. First Investment Bank-Bulgaria is the fifth largest bank in Bulgaria, with assets of 1.8 billion euro. The bank also has a branch in Cyprus. In Albania it has locations in Tirana, Durr쳬 Elbasan, Fier, Kor衠and Vlora.
