LOS ANGELES, Oct 20 – The race for the best foreign-language film Oscar is the most crowded one yet, with a record 67 countries submitting films to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Nominations for the 81st Annual Academy Awards will be announced Thursday, January 22, and the awards will be presented Sunday, February 22.
The list of foreign-language submissions includes Albania’s “The Sorrow of Mrs. Schneider” by Piro Milkani and Eno Milkani.
