TIRANA, Aug. 21 – Andi Beli, former head of the Albania Electro-energy Corporation, KESH, will be among 30 government officials who must respond to charges of abuse of public power and funds following charges from the State High Control (SHC).
Beli is accused of not following the correct procedure in buying electricity with direct procurement and not purchasing power through a tender. In such cases they should normally select the lowest price offer, which he had not done, according to the SHC.
