TIRANA, March 6 – The Tax Administration has identified operators in the tourism sector, private health services and public construction as risk operators who do meet their legal obligation of declaring their annual turnover. In a statement, the administration warns these operators to correct their declarations for 2012 so that they are not classified as risk operators and punished in the near future. The analysis carried out by the customs administration has revealed huge differences between the declared activity and the real activity.
Starting from January 1, the minimum threshold to register for value added tax is 5 million lek of annual turnover. Occupations such as lawyers, notaries public, dentists, economists, architects are automatically included in the VAT scheme.
