TIRANA, June 3 – The Interior Ministry made known a free phone number (0800 21 21) which could be used by any person who wants to be assisted with information and help in the application for the new identity cards and the biometric passports.
The number is operational from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every evening.
The process of issuing new identity cards and biometric passports has turned into a big political issue ahead of the June 28 parliamentary elections.
They are the two documents which can be used by Albanian voters to identify themselves before casting their ballot.
