TIRANA, Jan. 17 – “Germany and France: half a century of friendship and cooperation” is also displaying in Albania as an initiative by the German and French embassies in Albania. The event opens with a conference at the History and Philology Faculty of the University of Tirana on Tuesday, January 22 and will continue with an exhibition at the FAP Gallery of the Academy of Arts from January 22 to 24.
This exhibition celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the ʬysꥠTreaty, also known as the Treaty of Friendship. Signed by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer on 22 January 1963, it remains the cornerstone of Franco-German cooperation. The treaty was not only of great symbolic and historic importance, it also established a new foundation for relations that ended centuries of rivalry between the two countries. The exhibition documents the history and developments of the treaty and its implications for the process of European integration.
