Hamdi Haklaj arrested in Sweden

TIRANA, March 12 – Police reported Monday that Hamdi Haklaj, wanted for many murders in the country, was arrested near Gothenburg, Sweden. The arrest was made in close cooperation between Tirana and Stockholm Interpol. Haklaj, 69, is the last of the Haklaj family in Tropoja. Haklaj has been sentenced in 2005 to imprisonment for a murder. He is also accused of other murders before.
