TIRANA, April 26 – Thousands of Albanians traveling by auto resulted in very heavy traffic on roads crossing the border between Albania and Greece during the Easter holidays.
In response, Greek and Albanian authorities opened additional border crossing stations resulting in Albanians not having to wait more than one hour to cross the border. Traffic has been even heavier at the Kakavie border crossing, according to officials. Authorities are bracing for very heavy traffic as Albanians return to neighboring Greece.
