Mercury Fims project Lazarat Burning will show a different side of Albania to the entire world. The movie tells the story of Bujar Sava, who at a young age became a testimony to the tragic death of his parents after the Pyramid schemes in Albania during the 90s.
“We are very excited about this movie that will be a debut of our studio,” according to Issa Zaroui, the executive producer Mercury Films.
The cast of the film will include Hollywood actors as well as several well-known Albanian figures such as Albana Osmani, Jonida Vokshi, Ermal Mamaqi, etc. The movie will also star Russian actors such as Konstantin Khabensky, Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Dmitry Nagiev, and Ivan Makarevich. According to Mark Crawford, one of the executive produces, the movie will also star well-known Italian actor Raul Bova.
Produced by Marco Balsamo, Mark Crawford, Chad Pittman, Issa Zaroui, and Salim Zaroui, the shootings of Lazarat Burning will begin in August 2015 and will premiere in June 2017 in Hollywood.
