TIRANA, Feb. 17 – A giant Albanian flag was sent to Pristina last weekend to take part in the celebrations marking Kosova’s declaration of independence from Serbia. The flag was presented in 2005 by a soccer organization calling itself the “Black and Red Fans.” Members of the group are known to turn out in force for matches of the Albanian national football team, which is made up of players from Albania, Kosova and Macedonia. Thousands of “Black and Red Fans” are said to be on their way to Pristina, for the independence celebrations. Another three-kilometer national flag was carried through the Prizren streets in Kosova as well.
