Human traffickers arrested in Vlora

VLORA, March 31 – Police report they have arrested seven people charged with human trafficking.
Besmir Shanaj, 21, Sotir Veshi, 26, Vendin Bejaj, 19, Sofokli Ymeri, 55, Bilal Boci, 42, and Ardian Beqiri, 38, and a minor identified as A.M, 17, were arrested following a six-month investigation in several cities around the country where a network of clandestine trafficking had spread. The suspects are alleged to have asked for a 2,000 euro payment for smuggling persons across the border into Greece. (Tirana Times Staff)
