Hundreds gather to protest spotty water supplies

TIRANA, July 18 – Mjaft! Movement organized a protest Wednesday in front of government buildings asking for an end to the sporadic supply of drinking water, which has become a problem throughout Tirana.

Hundreds of people gathered in front of the public affairs ministry and the Tirana city hall asking authorities to comply with their pledges during the election campaign for non-stop water supplies.

The dry summer has increased problems in water supply to many areas in the capital.

The water department has arranged for the supply to comply with the power supply hours so that it may reach people’s homes.
