TIRANA, May 27 – Gen. Col. Havril Andras, Hungarian army chief of staff, visited Albania for a series of meetings with the country’s top officials.
Hungary had been a strong supporter for Albania’s membership in NATO.
Gazmend Oketa, Albanian Defense Minister, assured Andras that his country was taking the utmost steps to comply with all necessary requirements to receive full NATO membership next year.
Albania received its member invitation at the NATO summit in Bucharest in April. (Tirana Times Staff)
