Hungary to support Albania’s EU integration

TIRANA, May 6 – Hungary’s Defense Minister Imre Szekeres was on a visit to Tirana pledging to Albanian authorities his country’s further support to the integration process into the European Union.
Prime Minister Sali Berisha also sent best congratulations to the new Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai and also conveyed his thanks to the Hungarian nation and government for the support and assistance to Albania NATO integration and the EU integration process.
Hungary would provide every assistance and support for Albania EU integration, said Hungary’s Defense Minister Szekeres.
Berisha said that NATO membership was of paramount importance for Albania and that EU membership was the second major project.
Berisha said his government was holding that process with patience and seriousness, a non-stop process, based on performance and fulfillment of the required standards.
Both interlocutors said the bilateral relations were brilliant.
They also discussed developments in the region and Kosovo.
