In Durres, the International Dance Festival took place

On Monday the second edition of the International Dance festival began in Durres. Troupes from nine countries of the world will compete in this seven day festival from Albania, Italy, Macedonia, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Serbia, who will not only compete in classical dance but in other categories too. The curtain raiser of this festival was the contemporary ballet, “Alban au les yeux mauves” a choreograph piece by the well known French choreographer Carina Saporta, which was successfully produced recently at the National Ballet and Opera Theatre. Gjergj Pervazi, artistic director of the festival said he hoped that this festival would create a new tradition in Albanian arts: classic dance.
