According to P쳰arim Dervishi, the head of the customs office, his institution is increasing the control on the quantities and quality of fuels and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) that is imported in Albania through the harbours at Durr촩 and Sh쯧jini. New equipment that automatically assesses the type of fuel, its quality and quantity are already in place, said Dervishi. The type of fuel and its quality are important in order to decide the right excise tax and duty levied on different types of fuel. Dervishi said that customs are increasing their cooperation with other state institutions in order to increase the quality control for goods imported in Albania. (Tirana Times Staff)
