TIRANA, March 3 – The Interior Ministry reported that 18 international companies have joined their efforts to introduce seven proposals for producing identity cards and biometric passports for Albanians.
Authorities have pledged to equip Albanians with IDs and new passports, according to international requirements, ahead of the general elections next year.
Three foreign consultants are part of the judging team to decide the winning bid.
