TIRANA, May 21 – Internationally renowned Albanian soprano Inva Mula will be featured as a director and lead performer in the premiere of the Pagliacci opera at the Opera House in Tirana.
The opera which is scheduled to make its premiere on May 29 comes soon after the veteran soprano gave a concert ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992 as part of celebrations marking Europe Day in Albania.
Back in 2014, internationally renowned Albanian soprano Inva Mula was accepted as a fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science for her distinction in art and remarkable international accomplishments.
Born in Albania, to an artist family, Mula graduated as a soprano singer from the Academy of Arts, Tirana. In 1992, she moved to Paris, France, and has been there ever since. She is considered one of today’s great sopranos for her capacity to move from the Italian bel canto roles to the roles of French heroines. She reached a peak in her career in the 2009/10 season at the Paris Opera playing the role of Mirelle in Mireille by Gounod.
