Iranian art exhibition opens at National History Museum

On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Victory Day, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tirana together with Saadi Shirazi Cultural Foundation will open an exhibition of Iranian art, miniature, and artistic works on February 12, 2016 at 10:00 at the National History Museum.

The exhibition will include works by Amir Tahmasebi, Ali Murtezai, and Muhammad Hejdari. “At the Iranian Art Fair organized in 2016 in Tirana titled From Teheran to Tirana, we have tried to show some of the dimensions of   Iranian art to this generous and peaceful country,” according to Saadi Shirazi Cultural Foundation.

Amir Tahmasebi was born in 1972 in Karaj city. He received his master degree in Painting from the University of Arts in 2002. He has received three first prizes in biennale of painting in 1994, 2000, and 2003. Tahmasebi’s work has been exhibited in various countries such as Turkey in 2001, Uzbekistan in 2002, Russia in 2004 and 2008, China in 2006, Serbia in 2009, Cyprus in 2010, and Austria in 2011.

Ali Murtezai was born in 1978 in Hamadan city. He won the first prize at the National Exhibition in Arak, in 2004 and opened his first personal exhibition in 2005. So far Murtezai has exhibited his work in Indonesia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, etc.

Muhammad Hejdari was born in Isfahan city in 1973. He has practiced his art for 20 years while has been teaching for ten years at the University of Arts in Iran.

The exhibition will stay open for 7 days.
