TIRANA, March 3 – An exhibition featuring some of the best of Iranian art opened on Thursday afternoon at the premises of the National Museum of History in Tirana. The exhibition called “From Tehran to Tirana” has on display different artworks, including post-modern paintings, handicraft works, Persian miniature and calligraphy, photos and movies, will be open to the public until March 8.
Brought to Tirana by the Iranian embassy and the Saadi Shirazi cultural foundation in Tirana, the exhibition is considered another opportunity for the Albanian public and artists to get to know Iranian art closer. Famous contemporary Iranian artists such as painters Einodin Sadeghzadeh, Ali Zaim, Said Moayyeri Zadeh will have their different artworks on display for one week.
“The geographical position of Iran with an ancient civilization of almost 10,000 years, has given this country the opportunity to be seen as a crossroads of civilizations in the world. The plentiful and miscellaneous images this ancient civilization has introduced to the civilized world in arts, architecture, poetry, literature, mysticism and morals, fundamental science and law were a reason putting this rich culture in the global limelight,” says the Iranian exhibition brochure.
