TIRANA, April 9 – Italian artist Rosario Mele, a painter, sculptor and graphic creator, is being showcased in a special exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Arts in Tirana.
Known for his surrealistic works and using the special technique of “burned paper” mixing colours with wax, Rosario Mele’s exhibition brings unique colours, new forms, mysterious shades and surrealistic contrasts.
Born in Naples in 1924, Rosario Mele conveys his emotions by designs, graphs, wood carving through special techniques to create explosive descriptive, lyrical and dramatic visual arts.
His works are described as hermetic and ambiguous, ranging between joy and drama, game and revolution, critics say.
The exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Arts will remain open until April 13.
