Italy helps Albanian emergency authorities

TIRANA, Feb. 18 – Albanian Interior Ministry officials and the Italian emergency preparedness staff of the Formez company met Monday to train local employees on civil emergency topics.

Alfred Olli, Albania’s top emergency official, said that coordination with international institutions and other countries was fundamental in coping with different situations. He added that the country and authorities were working to complete preparations for any kind of threat, be they natural or human.

Both sides said that promoting the research work was also fundamental in preventing such calamities.
