TIRANA Sept. 23 – “Italy rediscovers Albania” an exhibition composed of 11 panels and giving visitors, via emblematic images, a glimpse into the life of different generations will open in late September at the premises of the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana’s central square.
The event is part of the project “Albania – Italy: two sides of the same sea,” sponsored by Moxa Modena with the contribution of the Emilia Romagna Region and the Italian Institute of Culture. “The exhibition will be composed of 11 panels – it will give the visitor, via emblematic images, a glimpse into the life of different generations. This brings to light the bridge between the two sides of the same sea, sometimes engaged in dramatic conflict, sometimes extremely generous to one another,” organizers say. The displayed elements come from different archives, including the Marubi Photo Library, the National Archive in Tirana, the Albanian School of photography, and private archives.
The exhibition is scheduled to remain open from September 26 to October 14.
