Italy VDA COS wins tenders in Albania

TIRANA, Jan. 12 – A group of companies from the northern Italian region of Valle d’Aosta (VdA) won five tenders concerning the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Albania.
The group of companies is led by Italian energy companies Fratelli Ronc and Sea. The tender was organized by the Albanian Environment Ministry in cooperation with the Italian Environment Ministry.
The investments which the Italian companies plan to make are worth 10 million euro ($14.62 million). The projects are part of the Clean Development Mechanism program called for in the Kyoto Protocol.
