TIRANA, Dec. 10 – Police believe Dan Hurta, 25, shot and killed his girlfriend in a jealous rage.
Hurta had been living with Dafina Havalja, 22, at an apartment in Tirana. Havalja was found dead Monday morning at the apartment and police believe that Hurta, who has fled, is the main suspect. Hurta had also been sentenced before for raping his sister-in-law. Local media reported that Hurta had called his future mother-in-law, telling her he had killed her daughter and she could be found at home.
