The two invited artists, Albanian-originating soprano, Migena Gjata, and German conductor and pianist, Gà¼nther Albers, will be offering master-classes for the youngsters studying art in Tirana in addition to their concert in the country’s capital. The master-class will be open for all interested students in the singing department, as well as those coming from other departments of the UA. The ‘Kunstlied’ genre, coming from the German romantic period, will be in the centre of these master-classes – a genre which has received little to no attention from music teachers and researchers in Albania. Students will get to receive a deeper understanding of the rich and diverse German ‘Kunstlied’ of the time period 1814-1918 and will become accustomed with some of its most well-known representatives, such as Schumann, Brahms, Wolf and Schubert.

The artistic results of this master class will be presented to the public in the form of a conclusive concert on Monday evening, held by the master class participants.
