POLICAN, Jan 26 – A lack of funding from the government has forced some 22 children being sheltered from families involved in feuds to leave their shelter in southern Polican.
There were contradictory criticisms from the center’s head and the town hall on the use of the funds and where the public money had gone.
The children were not only sheltered but also enrolled in a school they could not attend in their home villages in Malesi e Madhe.
The children had to return to their families.
The center was opened two years ago but since then its funding has been reduced and it has hardly managed to secure the basic food required for the children.
