TIRANA, July 10 – This bulletproof early 1950s Skoda produced by the then-Czechoslovakian automaker AZNP was also owned by Albanian late dictator Enver Hoxha, who despite the tight and undisputed control over the country for four decades took great care about his personal security.
The car is reported to be in an auto service in very poor condition.
A favourite for senior political and military personnel in Czechoslovakia, the car’s famous owners also included Czechoslovak President Klement Gottwald and China’s Mao Zedong.
Interestingly, Skoda VOS was one of the first cars in the world, equipped with air-conditioning.
