TIRANA, March 7 – Alush Shpata, 23, was arrested Tuesday while he was threatening with a Kalashnikov automatic rifle the Zguraj family in capital Tirana, police reported. Shpata had known a girl of the family and had tried to engage with her, but allegedly her family did not agree. To convince them Shpata took a Kalashnikov and went in front of their house. People told police who immediately came and secured the family and tried to convince Shpata to hand over. After shooting once in the air Shpata handed over.
In a separate case in Elbasan a 42 year old man, named Dalip Gjeli, shot dead his wife Drita allegedly for her adultery. He was jealous of his wife and after that he also committed suicide.
