VLORA, Dec. 11 – The Medieval castle discovered some months ago will soon turn into an archaeological center that may be visited by tourists in the southwestern port city of Vlora, local officials said. A new project for that is already being prepared. Foundations of the castle were discovered at the main boulevard Vlora-Skele near the sports hall. That is one of the three castles already found in the city. That is believed to belong to Medieval times. Local experts also say that government authorities should immediately include it among the protected areas and objects so that no new construction is made in that area. A new building was stopped in June this year.
