Some of the most well known actors of the Albanian stage and screen were present last evening at a special auction organized at Hotel Rogner Europa Park, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March. The very popular journalist and anchorman of the television show, “Free Zone,” Arjan ȡni, the Producer of another famous television show, “Fiks Fare” on Top Channel Sajmir Kodra, the photographer Eliano Kalemi, showman Ardi Krasta, singer from the East Side Family Group-Landi, political analyst Blendi Fevziu, the Vice Director of the American Bank Paul Lind are some of the men who will be put up for auction. Last evening, after every stroke of the auctioneers’ hammer, the men were officially “auctioned off” for a VIP dinner with the winners amongst an audience of about 300 of their fans. All proceeds went to charity.
“The idea of an auction at which the men would be “sold” began as a joke whilst fund raisers had put their heads together to come up with ideas for the annual women’s day celebrations. Then it caught on and we though, why not. Everyone would love to get to know their most preferred personalities of the big or small screen and this was a way to realize the contact and make some money at the same time,” relates Majlinda Bime, co-author of the project and Marketing Chief at the Rogner Hotel, in a weekly magazine. Even though this auction was organized with the support of Hotel Rogner, all the proceeds generated would go to the Albanian Children’s Foundation, the President of which is Mrs. Liri Berisha,” Miss Bime declared.
Apart from the show it offered, the auction was organized within the normal format. An initial award has been defined for all participating personalities and later on the female audience made the offers.
Men up for auction!
