Mirush Kabashi performs in France

TIRANA, June 7 – Mirush Kabashi was the only Balkan actor in France’s European Spring Festival where his True Apology of Socrates, a political and satirical pamphlet by Costas Varnalis, was performed in Lyon. The monodrama which marks its 15 anniversary was performed in Albanian, receiving critical acclaim in the festival held from May 23 to June 2. “The True Apology of Socrates” marks its 15 anniversary on the stage of the Albanian Theatre. In the course of these 15 years, the monodrama has been staged all around the world, winning several prizes.
“What impressed me was the repeat of enthusiasm by French public and I had the chance of repeating a second success in France. I felt really impressed not only because the show was received with enthusiastic applauds not only because we participated for the first time in the prestigious “European Spring” festival but also because spectators in the main hall Lion Municipality listen to the beautiful Albanian language,” Kabashi told reporters.
