Mirush Kabashi to perform in solidarity one-man show in Geneva

TIRANA, Jan. 15 – After his London premiere of the The True Apology of Socrates in late 2014, Albanian veteran actor Mirush Kabashi is travelling to Geneva later this month to perform another one-man show unveiling messages of religious tolerance and co-existence at a time when the world has been shocked by the terrorist killings in the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris.

Kabashi has been invited by the Albanian community in Switzerland to perform the Mr. Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran, a novel by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, originally written as a play.

He is scheduled to perform the monodrama  The True Apology of Socrates,” on January 24 at the Theatre Salle Centrale Madeleine in Geneva.

Kabashi is known for his famous tour of the The True Apology of Socrates,” a  political and satirical pamphlet by Kostas Varnalis, which he has performed in Paris, Geneva, Athens, Vienna, Cairo, Toronto, Kiev, Belgrade, Lyon and most recently in London.

Hei is a famous Albanian actor of classical theatre who has won several awards and prizes including the prestigious Golden Sphinx. In his long career he has played more than 100 characters for the theatre and many others in films.
