TIRANA, Jan 12 – The Majft! Civic organization held a protest Monday at the Supreme Court asking the court to speed up efforts to begin the trial against Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha, accused of abuse of post when he served as transport minister and issued contracts to begin the construction of the Rreshen-Kalimash road segment.
The prosecutor’s office began the investigation and then charged Basha with abuse of his post for spending hundreds of millions of extra Euros due to how the US-Turkish group Bechtel-Enka signed the contract.
Basha has denied the accusation.
