TIRANA, Jan.21- The MJAFT movement has rejected the positive comments from the government about the ‘Heritage’ ranking for the economic situation of Albania, which puts it at the 56th place. Instead of interpreting this listing as a positive sign, MJAFT officials said the government should be alert to the fact that 2007 has been a very negative year for earnings of Albanian consumers. Inflation, as measured by the state-controlled Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, for the month of August and September is respectively 4.2 and 4.4 percent, above the target norm imposed by BoA. Mjaft also mentioned the problems associated with the monopolization of agriculture imports which keep corresponding prices high.
