TIRANA, May 26 – Police initiated another operation to stop money laundering in the streets, or the hard currency exchange in the black market, arresting more than a dozen people still conducting illegal transactions near the central bank.
On Monday the Black Market police operation put under arrest 16 persons operating in downtown Tirana and accused them of unlicensed financial activity. A considerable amount of Euros and Albanian lek was also confiscated.
