Albanian directors Ibrahim Kasapi and Adrian Kati bring the movie ‘Pain and hope’ which tells the story of 92 convicted women in communist Albania. Pluton Vasi in ‘White haired beard’ has assembled th stories of three former political prisoners of the Communist system to denounce the indifference of the current public towards them. Jan Gabriel Periot brings the story of girls which were accused for having relationships with German soldiers and were beaten and abused for this reason. The specter of punishment comes in his movie ‘The former criminal’ raises the issue of continuing violence even after Hitler’s army was down. Tania Rakhmanova brings the opening documentary ‘Revolutions, a manual of use’ that tracks down the recent democratic revolutions in Serbia, Georgia and Ukraine.(Tirana Times Staff)
