TIRANA, March 2 – Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafaj held last week an official visit to Hungary to meet with his counterpart Kinga Goncz and other senior Hungarian officials, including President Laszlo Solyom and Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany. Mustafaj and the hosts spoke about the positive trends of increase of the trade exchange between the two countries and further possibilities to expand them. Hungarian companies are interested to participate in the process of privatization of public companies in Albania, their officials said. Budapest also pledged to support Albania’s integration efforts into the European Union and NATO. Kosova was another topic of discussion during the meeting, according to the Foreign ministry statement. Customs of both countries signed a memorandum of cooperation.
