National Theatre announces Drama Competition, Globe to Globe participation

TIRANA, Oct. 26 – The organization of the Albanian drama competition has been highlighted as a priority event for the National Theatre in Tirana to celebrate Albania’s 100th anniversary of independence in 2012. The competition is open to all-Albanian speaking writers from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and the Diaspora with “Albanian drama in the 100th anniversary of the Albanian state” as its topic.
“The competition is held in the frame of the 100th independence anniversary and in honour of all those who in the ancient and new history of our people who contributed to the establishment of the Albanian state and institutions, with the veneration toward our historic walk for the creation and preservation of the national identity as a language, ritual and spiritual world,” says the theatre in a statement.
The latest Albanian drama competition was held back in 2010.
