New French government supports Albania’s efforts to join NATO

TIRANA, July 4 – France’s new Defense Minister, Herve Morin, assured his Albanian counterpart, Fatmir Mediu, that Paris would continue to support Albania’s efforts to become integrated into NATO.

Morin, becoming part of the new French government, assured Mediu that he would be available and attentive to all requests from Albania as it proceeds with reforms in the army.

Albania hopes to join NATO next year.
