TIRANA, Sep 8 – Opposition Socialist Party said Tuesday they would start a political action to achieve the transparency of the June 28 votes of Albanians.
Socialist leader Edi Rama insisted that investigating the irregularities of the June 28 poll was an obligation to the nation in order to show to the people their votes were worthy of being cast.
The opposition has boycotted the new parliament claiming the vote of the people was defective and they want its investigation, the creation of a parliamentary investigative commission and the proper law for that process.
Rama said that transparency of the June 28 vote was a pre-condition for gong to the parliament.
He did not specify what a political action meant. Did that mean street protests?
He said they would go to the country to take the opinion of the party militants.
The opposition leader also criticized the media for turning a blind eye to the vote manipulation.
