OSCE Parliamentarians to discuss security in the Balkans

COPENHAGEN, Sep. 21 – Some 250 representatives of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly from 44 countries will discuss security in the Balkans when they gather in Portoroz, Slovenia from 29 September-2 October for the Assembly’s annual Fall Meetings.
The theme of the conference is “Security through Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe: the Role of Parliamentarians”, and specific topics of discussion will include decentralization and local government in South East Europe, education as a basis for security, and regional cooperation in energy security as well as the OSCE Mediterranean dimension.
