TIRANA, April 10 – Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Marc Perrin de Brichambaut visited Albania Tuesday to meet with top officials and also to celebrate the office’s tenth anniversary in the country.
De Brichambaut met with President Alfred Moisiu, Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Foreign Minsiter Besnik Mustafaj and Interior Minister Bujar Nishani.
Mustafaj considered his visit as an important moment in the relations between the country and the international institution. He said that OSCE’s mandate and contribution have varied according to the development in the country. Mustafaj said that following recent development the mandate of the OSCE should be re-dimensioned in those directions where its need is necessary like good governance, reform in justice and electoral infrastructure.
