TIRANA, Feb. 28 – On his 55th birthday, veteran painter Pashk Pervathi has opened a special exhibition dedicated to his friends. Some 38 paintings in the oil on canvass technique are featured in the exhibition “To my friends” which showcases portraits and landscapes.
The northern Valbona valley and its picturesque landscapes are the focus of the exhibition along with some views from paintings inspired by Italian landscapes.
The exhibition at the Kledio gallery in Tirana will remain open from February 27 to March 9.
Born in the northern town of Lezha, where he currently lives and works, Pervathi graduated from Academy of Arts in Tirana in 1990. In 2006, he was awarded the Naim Frasheri golden order by the President of the Republic. His original landscape, “Autumn in Manati” is on display at the Museum of Art and History of the city of Ceuta in Spain.
