TIRANA, June 2 – The Interior Ministry has postponed moving families, whose homes were heavily damaged in the March 15 Gerdec explosion, from the Durres building they have been sheltered in. They were supposed to leave Durres last Sunday.
The families have complained about leaving and declared they would begin a hunger strike if forced to leave. Meanwhile, the government has set aside 25.000 leks per month for each family to rent an apartment for the next six months. (Tirana Times Staff)
