Power meter readers arrested on corruption charges

VLORA, Sep. 14 – Four persons who worked with the OSSH power distribution corporation were arrested in the southwestern port city on corruption charges.
They had received bribery from three businesses in a nearby area.
Pe詠Ferro, Enver Hajdari, working in nearby Lushnja and Adrian Nuraj and Neim ȡr袮i in Vlora were arrested following a blitz operation started from the OSSH management itself.
It was found that the OSSH inspectors set heavy fines on businesses trying to urge them pay bribes to them that went up to 50,000 leks.
They are accused of corruption and abuse of post.
