GOLEM, Dec. 19- An investment worth 4 million euro is trying to solve the drinking water supply problems in the areas of Golem and Kavaja, the most frequented summer beaches during the hot season. Prime Minister Berisha, Transportation Minsiter Sokol Olldashi, Kavaja mayor Refik Rugia and German deputy ambassador, Jan Rudolph, were present at the inauguration of the work at the aqueduct of Manskuria, a former water reservoir. Berisha has confirmed that the water quality will be optimal and that the needs of this region will be accommodated even for the increased population in the tourist months. The project is a joint financing of the German Reconstruction Bank (Kfw) and the Albanian government and will finance an aqueduct which will be independent of the Durres one. The German government has allocated more than 700 million euro to Albania as assistance during the years of transition.
