Project to identify 100 successful Albanians around the world

TIRANA, Aug. 13 – “100 success stories in 100 years of the Albanian State,” a project by local NGO, Albanian Excellence Center, is identifying 100 successful Albanians around the world. The selected candidates will be featured in a book under the same title as part of this year’s events commemorating Albania’s 100th independence.
“One of the goals of the study is to create a database where famous Albanians around the world live and work, what their creativity is, information which up to now has been lacking. It is also aimed that some 100 new heroes of modern life shining in science and culture are added to the already public figures,” says Flora Nikolla, a veteran journalist and project director.
“The study with the 100 successful Albanians started with the goal of preserving and promoting the human values of Albania and somehow influence upon their return to Albania or the re-establishment of contacts with the Albanian cultural and scientific audience,” says Nikolla.
Success stories of Albanians from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, and the Chameria region in Greece who live and work abroad will be brought to the Albanian public.
