TIRANA, Nov. 20 – Puccini’s La Boheme made its comeback at the Opera House in Tirana this week eleven years after its last stage bringing back one of the world’s most popular and captivating operas. Staged as an Albanian-Italian collaboration under the direction of Andrea De Manincor, La Boheme made its premiere on Nov. 20 and is also scheduled to make two other performance on Nov. 22 and 24 at 19.00.
“It is a pleasure to work with a group of young singers as they should be in their roles, who are not only technically and vocally talented, but also excellent actors,” the Italian director told reporters.
Italian tenor Cristian Ricci and baritone Enrico Marchesini are performing in lead roles in this opera along with Albanian sopranos Alisa Katroshi and Evis Mula.
The symphonic orchestra of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet is conducted by Italy’s Daniela Candiotto.
