Rains fill Drini River, power cuts continue

KUKES, Nov. 27 – Recent rains and snow in northeastern Albania and Kosova have increased the water input at the Drini River creating calmness among Albanian Electro-Energy Corporation, or KESH, and the government. But the rains have not stopped power cuts which are up to 15-17 hours in rural areas.
Many areas in the districts of Has were flooded also damaging four houses there. Many rural roads have also been damaged by the rains.
